Role Overview

HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a highly motivated Rights Coordinator to join an exciting group of Rights professionals selling subsidiary rights across the General Books divisions. The role is based in New York City and operates on a hybrid work model that includes both in-office and remote work. The Rights Coordinator will support their manager and the wider department through a combination of administrative responsibilities and the submission, negotiation, and sale of translation rights in select foreign territories.

What You Will Do

Supports all titles in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and direct translation markets, assists in the soliciting of top General Books titles to a curated list of publishers, maintains and updates publisher contact databases, coordinates with the Royalties department, and supports seasonal title presentations and virtual meetings.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in publishing rights licensing
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days/week in office)
