Role OverviewThe Risk Analyst will support the City's Workers' Compensation Program by providing technical expertise, analytical insight, and hands-on coordination to departments across the organization. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring effective claims management, regulatory compliance, and timely coordination among departments, the City's Third Party Administrator (TPA), and other external partners.
What You Will Do
The Risk Analyst will evaluate claim activity, monitor TPA performance, identify trends in loss data, and help drive interventions that reduce injury frequency, claim severity, and overall program costs. The position will also provide training, facilitate claim review meetings, and support departments in navigating complex case management issues.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job
- Four years of experience in assigned areas of risk analysis/management or commercial insurance underwriting
- Knowledge of risk management techniques and practices
- Knowledge of Commercial Property and/or Casualty insurance policies
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances governing commercial insurance and/or risk management techniques
- Knowledge of City practices, policies, and procedures
