Job Description
Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join its Risk and Security Management department. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management, information security, loss control, and/or workers' compensation and safety programs. The position involves implementing agency risk management programs, conducting risk management reviews, and promoting and protecting the agency, its employees, contractors, and customers.

Requirements

  • One year of full-time experience in planning or operation of risk management, information security, loss control, and/or the workers' compensation and safety programs
  • Working knowledge of statutes, rules/regulations, standards, guidelines, and best practices involving the department's core areas of risk management, continuity/emergency management, safety, and physical security
  • Ability to gather, correlate, and analyze facts, to devise solutions to problems
  • State agency experience
  • Risk management-related certification(s)
