Role OverviewThe ED-RN (Inpatient) area provides care for admitted patients awaiting transfer to an inpatient unit. In this role, nurses deliver ongoing acute care, monitor patient status, coordinate care needs, and support a safe, seamless transition from the Emergency Department to the inpatient setting.
What You Will Do
Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments. Actively anticipates patients and/or patients' family needs and expectations and utilizes these in conjunction with the assessment to develop an appropriate plan of care for the patient.

Requirements
- Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program
- 1 year of RN experience
- Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) license
- BLS course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Crisis Prevention Institute Certification within 180 days
