Role Overview

The RN House Supervisor will serve in a leadership capacity, ensuring quality communication between hospital leadership and nursing unit leaders and staff. The role will involve supervising all aspects of nursing care throughout the hospital, prioritizing division of nursing staffing, and managing temporary labor to ensure adequate staffing.

What You Will Do

The RN House Supervisor will prepare hospital shift reports, analyze staffing resource utilization, and perform employee health-related activities. The role will also involve responding to emergency situations, utilizing the chain of command for unresolved or escalating staffing issues, and advocating for patients and staff to provide for safe delivery of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing
  • 3 years to five (5) years RN experience
  • Current Texas license
  • NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE Compact State license
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • CRISIS PREVENTION INSTITUT CER - training must be completed within 30 days of hire date
