Job Description
As a RN Lactation Consultant, you will perform and accurately document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments, and develop an appropriate plan of care for the patient. You will also identify and implement appropriate nursing interventions, and actively involve the patient in the plan of care. The position requires 2 years of lactation consultant experience, licenses and certifications, and adherence to hospital and/or Department of Nursing policies, procedures, and nationally accepted standards of nursing practice.

Requirements

  • 2 years of lactation consultant experience
  • Licenses and Certifications: (RN) REGISTERED NURSE Licensed Registered Nurse in state of Texas and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) and (NRP) NEONATAL RESUSCITATION NRP (AAP version) is required and (IBCLC) IBCLC Lactation consultant with IBCLC certification is preferred
