What You Will Do
The Oncology nurse provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients and is responsible for delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, and evidence-based quality care.

Requirements
- A minimum of two years of practice as a registered nurse in an acute care setting
- Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Specialty certification is recommended as soon as the RN is eligible including: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- Specialty training as required by specific units or specialty includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
