Role OverviewThe Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.
What You Will Do
The oncology clinic RN provides quality nursing care to patients experiencing hematological/oncological/surgical and radiation treatments and disease management. Possesses and develops understanding of the oncologic process and oncologic emergencies. Knowledgeable to instruct patients and their support persons about disease, symptom management and treatment as well as advocate for their needs.

Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Science in nursing is preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire
- ONS chemotherapy and Biotherapy administration certification (or obtained within 6months of hire if working in an infusion center)
- OCN certification preferred
