Role OverviewA registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Health System is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of patients under the supervision of a physician. The responsibility of the procedure nurse is to closely monitor patients before, during, and after invasive and noninvasive procedures.
What You Will Do
Coordinating procedure time and scheduling, conducting an initial and ongoing assessment, starting IV's, administrating medications, drawing lab work, taking patient history, and performing patient assessments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to recognize risks and complications related to procedures through knowledge of physical assessment. The nurse will assist providers and staff in the department within the patient care tasks or other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee
- BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward
