Role OverviewA registered professional nurse employed by EMC in the Erlanger Orthopedic CW6 Orthopaedic Short Stay Unit is responsible for all aspects of direct and/or indirect care of the postoperative phase of the surgical experience.
What You Will Do
Provide age-specific appropriate care to patients served in the Elective Orthopaedic Short Stay, administer pharmacological drugs as ordered, perform procedures, and operate equipment necessary for patient care.

Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify patient's plan of care, communicate effectively with staff physicians, and other departments concerning all aspects of patient care.
Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of Tennessee
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date
- Completion of 8 hours of education specific to Total Ankle, Hip and Knee Replacement
- Completion of 4 hours of Erlanger Online Education upon hire
