Job Description
Responsible for coordinating unit-based education for UT Southwestern professional clinical staff and unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure staff are able to demonstrate current competencies and meet professional standards of practice within an assigned area. Provide orientation, ongoing education and skills training for staff, and serve as a clinical expert and role model in application of the nursing processes and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing with a licensure as a Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
  • 2 years recent work in a clinical specialty.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas with a minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing;
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
