Role Overview

We are seeking Roadway Construction Inspectors to join our Quality Management and Construction Inspection practice team in Duluth, Georgia. This is an advanced journey to advanced level inspector position technical work supporting engineers in functional areas of roadway and structure construction acceptance inspection and materials sampling and testing verification.

What You Will Do

Perform independent and moderately complex inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and quality standards. Inspect, sample, and test construction materials, including soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete, to ensure quality, proper composition, and compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive transportation inspection or technician experience
  • Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) Level 1A Certification (Erosion and Sediment Control)
  • Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor (WECS) Certification
  • GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification or American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification
