Role OverviewThe Robotics Software Engineer, Perception will lead the technical direction of the Autonomous Factory Systems organization's Perception team. The role will define the technical roadmap, shape the architecture, and drive the work that will meaningfully expand what our robots can sense, understand, and act on.
What You Will Do
Define and drive the multi-year technical roadmap for the Perception Team; lead architecture of the full perception pipeline; define the integration surface between perception and adjacent systems; drive sensor fusion strategy; establish rigorous practices for the team; and represent perception in cross-functional design reviews and planning.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience in computer vision, robotics perception, or autonomous systems, with a track record of technical leadership at Staff or Principal level. They will have expert-level command of 3D computer vision and strong machine learning foundations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering in computer vision, robotics perception, or autonomous systems
- Expert-level command of 3D computer vision
- Strong machine learning foundations
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or other applied robotics environments
- Experience building and deploying real-time perception systems under hard latency and reliability constraints
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
- Proven ability to define architecture across a domain, make and communicate high-stakes technical decisions, and build alignment across teams and organizational boundaries
