Role Overview

The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck and transporting large mobile open top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycle facilities and customer locations. The role requires highly skilled backing maneuvers and the ability to navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and tight overhead environments.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of the Roll-Off Driver include operating the vehicle in accordance with safety and life critical rules, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any unsafe situations or service-related issues, and communicating with Route Managers or Dispatch.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be a fit for this role, you should have a commercial driver's license (CDL) A or B with air brake endorsement, a valid driving record, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to weather extremes and potential safety hazards.

Requirements

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B with air brake endorsement
  • 1 year(s) of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
  • Acceptable driving record required
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
