Role OverviewThe Route Driver is responsible for representing the company while making deliveries and picking up freight. The job involves delivering and picking up freight in a timely manner, inspecting and reporting any mechanical problems with the vehicle, and maintaining a professional personal appearance as well as the cleanliness of the vehicle.
What You Will Do
Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner, inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle, collect payments for certain packages delivered, verify the content of pickups on shipping papers, and notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have the ability to operate a manual transmission, possess good customer service skills, and work independently. The job requires a valid Driver's License with a good driving record, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
