Role OverviewThe Route Driver is responsible for representing the company while making deliveries and picking up freight. The role involves delivering and picking up freight in a timely manner, inspecting and reporting any mechanical problems with the vehicle, and maintaining a professional personal appearance.
What You Will Do
Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner, inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle, load the truck in an organized manner, collect payments for certain packages delivered, and notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate should possess good customer service skills, be able to work independently, and have the ability to operate a manual transmission or be willing to learn. The role requires a valid Driver's License with a good driving record and the ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
