Role OverviewThe Support Route Driver fills in on open or unassigned routes to support daily delivery operations, requiring flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules based on business needs while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards.
What You Will Do
Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner, inspect and report mechanical problems with the vehicle, load the truck in an organized manner, collect payments, verify content of pickups, and notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ability to operate a manual transmission, good customer service, and willingness to work independently are required. The role requires flexibility, physical stamina, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
