Job Description
The Routing Specialist will perform daily truck building and routing using Pin Routes or equivalent, and will be responsible for managing freight programs, negotiating carrier contracts, and overseeing truck routing and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Perform daily truck building and routing using Pin Routes or equivalent
  • Manage Freight Program: negotiate carrier contracts, set freight rates, and ensure costs are applied per customer
  • Optimize routes based on cart recoveries, milage and customer windows
  • Review and Manage KPI's pertaining to freight, routing, etc.
  • Conduct Carrier hauling performance reviews
  • Serve as a backup for the Administrative Assistant and Traffic Operations Supervisor in their absence
  • Hold direct reports accountable for meeting expectations and timelines
  • Foster a culture of safety at all levels of the company
  • Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization on GGOB principles and open book management
  • Develop, build, and support internal and external Brand Harmony creating the ultimate customer experience at every touchpoint
