Job Description
The Railroad Commission of Texas is seeking an experienced Engineering Specialist IV to perform highly complex engineering work in the Critical Infrastructure Division. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience in engineering, data analysis, data management, research, and reporting work.

Requirements

  • Performs engineering work related to petroleum, mechanical, or facilities engineering
  • Prepares, reviews, and interprets blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids
  • Provides technical expertise and coordination for programs, activities, studies, and projects
  • Performs engineering assessments, modeling, and monitoring
  • Reviews the activities of contractors, operators, or civic authorities
  • Prepares correspondence and technical reports
  • May conduct engineering fieldwork
  • Assists with project planning and oversight, and the development of procedures for the area of responsibility
  • May provide technical guidance on data evaluation, research coordination, issue analysis, testing, and report preparation and recommendations
