Job Description
The Railroad Commission of Texas is seeking a Financial Analyst I-II to perform routine to complex financial analysis, including reviews of rate change applications and other applications filed with the Commission.

Requirements

  • Analyze various utility filings to determine compliance with the Texas Utilities Code, Commission rules, and Commission policy.
  • Prepare written and/or oral expert testimony for use in contested utility rate proceedings.
  • Testify as a witness on behalf of Commission Staff in contested rate cases.
  • Conduct investigations of compliance by natural gas utilities, common carriers, and propane distribution companies with the Texas Utilities Code, Commission rules, and Commission policy.
  • Mediate informal industry disputes.
  • Respond to inquiries from utilities, Commission staff, other government agencies, and the public regarding utility rate issues and competitive matters.
