Job Description
The Director of Queens Street Maintenance will supervise Queens Borough operation and its related improvement programs, monitoring productivity and implementing quality assurance programs. The Director will also monitor and evaluate infrastructure needs and plan annual resurfacing and capital improvement programs.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and five years of full-time experience in inspection, maintenance, construction or engineering work related to the work of a large scale highway system
  • At least 18 months of experience in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity or supervising a staff engaged in performing the above type of work
  • Valid New York State Professional Engineer's License and 18 months of supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive experience in civil engineering work related to highway construction or maintenance
  • Four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and nine years of experience in inspection, maintenance, construction or engineering work related to the work of a large scale highway system
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above and at least 18 months of supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive experience
