Role OverviewJoin the team of a progressive YMCA in Franklin Park, New Jersey, as a SACC Counselor - After Care. The YMCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The SACC Counselor will assist with implementation of a varied and challenging program of activities for children, including Homework Time, Enrichment Activities, Organized Physical Activities, Free Play, and Snack Time.
What You Will Do
The SACC Counselor will assist the Site Supervisor with supervision of all children on the site, build relationships with children and families, and maintain discipline with children during all activities. They will also assist the Site Supervisor with motivating and encouraging all children to participate in program activities and provide a safe environment for children.

Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must have High School Diploma or Working Papers
- Must have ability to learn and think quickly to solve child-to-child situations
- Good communication skills and ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments
