Job Description
Role Overview

The Safety and Health Program Consultant will work to ensure fire safety, health, and building code laws are up to date, develop and review health and safety policies and procedures, and advise employees on industry and environment health and safety issues. This is an hourly position with a pay range of 13 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule.

What You Will Do

The Safety and Health Program Consultant will ensure fire safety, health, and building code laws are up to date, develop and review health and safety policies and procedures, work with Joint Commission and Barrins during pre-audits/audits on safety, and advise employees on industry and environment health and safety issues.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 24 months of experience in fire safety, safety, health, and building codes and laws, and a valid driver's license. The candidate will also have a strong understanding of OSHA, Ohio Fire Code, Life Safety Code, and Industrial Commission.

Requirements

  • 24 months of experience in fire safety, safety, health, and building codes and laws
  • 1 course in management or 3 months of experience in managerial or supervisory capacity
  • 1 course in statistics or 3 months of experience in application of statistical analysis
  • 1 course or 3 months of experience in public relations
  • 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in interviewing principles and techniques or investigative procedures and techniques
  • 1 course or 3 months of experience in preparing and delivering on-job training or educational presentations
  • Valid driver's license
