Job Description
The City of Independence is seeking a highly skilled Safety & Training Specialist III to plan, develop, and maintain safety programs, conduct safety audits, and provide training to employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Risk Management, Fire Protection, Emergency Management, or related field
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in occupational safety and health
  • Valid driver's license
  • OSHA 500 or 501 Authorized Instructor, preferred
  • NIMS training within six months of hire
