Job Description
The Safety Companion carries out routine and assigned non-nursing tasks and assists the nurse in carrying out patient care activities within the scope of training and experience.
Requirements
Monitors the safety of the patient while sitting with safety companion patients and Baker Act patients.
Assists with maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly patient environment.
Assists the patient with activities of daily living as directed by the nurse.
Maintains on going communication with the nurse assigned to the patient.
Maintains current knowledge/certification.
