Role OverviewThe Safety Coordinator supports and implements effective emergency response measures, risk management programs, and occupational safety and health measures. They foster a proactive safety and sustainability culture based on the common values of health, safety, environment, and communities. This role requires working in both office and active project site environments, including occasional travel to operating or construction sites.
What You Will Do
The Safety Coordinator will perform regular inspections and safety audits, develop and implement safety and health programs, assist in achieving short-term objectives, and provide safety and health training to employees and contractors.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Health and Safety role
- Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local occupational safety and health laws and regulations
- Experience in the mining industry preferred
- Experience in risk assessment, emergency response, and incident command considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
