Role Overview

As Safety Director, you'll lead a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week safety program for one of our facilities, ensuring a safe and secure site for clients, staff, and visitors. You'll manage safety staff, including recruiting, hiring, and training, and foster professional growth and development.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include leading safety staff, responding to emergencies, reviewing safety policies, and ensuring accurate record keeping. You'll also serve as liaison with local emergency agencies and ensure protocols for Violence in the Workplace are followed.

Requirements

  • New York State Security Guard License
  • FDNY F-80 certification and F-02
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience and skills
  • Minimum of five years' experience in law enforcement or related field
  • Minimum of two years' supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or capacity to work with homeless families, individuals, and/or disadvantaged populations
  • Valid U.S. driver's license (preferred)
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft applications
