Job Description
As a Safety Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in safety management and compliance, supporting JHL's safety team with job site safety inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Conduct and document safety observations, hazard assessments, and jobsite inspections
  • Support jobsite visits to help prevent, recognize, evaluate, and control safety and industrial hygiene issues
  • Participate in pre-job safety planning, including developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Written Silica Exposure Control Plans, and Site-Specific Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
  • Help manage and organize weekly toolbox talks, ensuring relevant and timely safety topics are addressed
  • Support the assessment of company-wide safety training needs and contribute to the development of the annual training calendar
  • Assist with tracking and documenting workplace injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely completion of First Reports of Injury
