Role Overview

AECOM is seeking a responsive, organized, detailed-oriented SH&E Manager to lead Safety, Health & Environment efforts for part of AECOM's Environment Business Line. The position works as a member of a dynamic team providing support to AECOM Design, Consulting Services operations throughout the United States. The SH&E Manager must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and challenges, make assessments about resource needs and assist operations leadership in successfully delivering safe and healthy work.

What You Will Do

Provide visible and active support throughout the region for safety, monitor and assess safety programs at diverse work sites, identify specific, actionable and feasible solutions to complex safety, health and environmental issues, lead the incident management process, and train and coach all levels of employees.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience in a SH&E role, a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering, or other relevant subject, and professional certification as a CSP or CIH.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering, or other relevant subject
  • 10 years + of relevant experience in a SH&E role
  • Professional certification as a CSP or CIH
  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge of Federal OSHA, USEPA, DOT, EM-385-1-1, Radiation Safety, NFPA 70e, and other regulatory requirements
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to motivate others, build teams and maintain forward thinking approach
  • Ability to successfully influence and inspire others to work safely and effectively
  • Able to form trusted relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants
  • Able to work productively with all levels of the organization including field technicians, engineers, scientists, senior managers and executives
  • Able to work cross functionally in operations, and partner with other internal stakeholders
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed organizations
  • Knowledge or experience managing environmental compliance (RCRA, DOT, HAZCOM, etc)
  • Experience with data management and/or analytics platforms such as Microsoft Power BI or Power Automate
