Role Overview

The Safety Lead acts as a dual-purpose champion for both operational integrity and external relations, balancing proactive safety leadership and high-level customer service. This role is uniquely designed to ensure every employee returns home safely while providing world-class service to customers, vendors, and contractors.

What You Will Do

The Safety Lead will conduct daily safety walks and inspections, lead incident reporting and investigation, facilitate site-specific safety orientations, oversee safety equipment inspection and maintenance, and assist management in developing Safe Operating Procedures.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, have safety and health knowledge, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. They will also be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and maintain three points of contact when climbing on/off machinery or on ladders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
  • ACI Field Testing Level I Certification is highly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in Construction, Heavy Building Material, or Asphalt is required; 2+ years of Aggregate focused experience is preferred
  • Safety & health knowledge
