Role Overview

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with government contract safety regulations and industry standards, as well as filing and managing employee work-related injuries, and developing procedures to mitigate risk of employee injury and illness.

What You Will Do

Primary responsibilities include inspecting workplaces to minimize or eliminate hazards, recommending changes to protect and educate employees on compliance through safety training programs, investigating accidents to identify their causes, and finding ways to prevent them in the future.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years' safety enforcement experience
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) degree
  • OSHA 30 training; 24 hours continuing education
  • Knowledge of NC Worker's Compensation law and claims management
  • Knowledge of NC safety rules and laws
  • Valid DL compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
