Role OverviewThe Safety Officer plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the district's safety culture. The successful candidate will support the implementation of TxDOT's safety program across a six-county region, helping to ensure safe practices throughout all operational areas.
What You Will Do
Assists in performing industrial hygiene testing, coordinates safety meetings, inspects equipment and work areas, investigates employee accidents, monitors workers' compensation records, and plans training on safety issues.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Technology, Business Admin or related discipline
- Valid driver's license
- 1 YEAR Occupational safety, Industrial hygiene or related work areas (for Safety Officer II)
