Safety Specialist

The Safety Specialist supports the organization's safety programs by ensuring compliance with regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. This role partners with supervisors and employees to identify hazards, reduce risk, investigate incidents, and promote Janicki's safety culture.

What You Will Do

Conduct routine safety inspections and workplace audits, identify hazards and recommend corrective actions, lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, deliver employee safety training, administer regulatory programs, perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments, monitor contractor safety performance, track corrective actions until completion, maintain OSHA logs and required safety records, participate in emergency response planning and drills, promote employee engagement through safety committees, take 5's and observations.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED required
• 2+ years' experience in workplace safety and compliance
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to manage data effectively

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint)
