Role OverviewThe Safety Specialist is responsible for administering all safety, health, and environmental requirements on-site during installation and sustaining activities. This includes ad hoc problem-solving, auditing, inspections, oversight of contact safety personnel, incident investigation, and development of safety programs and training.
What You Will Do
The Safety Specialist will develop, review, and implement health and safety policies, programs, and procedures. They will investigate incidents, assist with root cause analysis, and track metrics. They will also conduct worksite safety inspections, provide direction for contract safety personnel, and coordinate on-site customer-specific safety training.

Requirements
- Associate degree in a Safety or equivalent education
- Minimum 2 years experience in administration, implementation, and development of environmental, safety, and health programs
- BCSP certification (CHST, OHST, ASP, GSP) preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer requirements and specifications
- Ability to write reports and programs, and to effectively present information to customers and company management
