Role OverviewThe Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across agricultural sites. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining programs that protect employees, facilities, and the environment while meeting federal, state, and local requirements.
What You Will Do
Conduct agricultural site compliance inspections, safety audits, and certification processes. Deliver toolbox talks, forklift training, and other safety-related training programs. Manage environmental compliance including FDA regulations, air emissions, and hazardous materials handling.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have completion of some college coursework, continuing education, or training in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. Relevant work experience in safety, health, engineering, or industrial operations may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Requirements
- Completion of some college coursework, continuing education, or training in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field
- Relevant work experience in safety, health, engineering, or industrial operations
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering is preferred
- Operations experience desired, preferably in an agriculture-related field
- Basic Computer skills required
- Valid driver’s license required
