Role OverviewUnder general supervision, inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures. Assists in maintaining safety equipment supply and availability.
What You Will Do
Documents safety inspections, analyzes for possible exposure to hazards, assists in applying safety policies and procedures, and maintains assigned files and records. May assist with hazardous material programs and interface with regulatory agencies.

Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two year degree or equivalent preferred
- At least 2 years related experience
- Developing understanding and ability to train others in company, state and federal safety policies and regulations
- Practical knowledge of biology, environmental science, chemistry, or a closely related field
- Ability to train others in correct use of safety equipment
- Ability to perform control calculations
- Ability to produce quality, accurate work
- Ability to detect and correct errors
