Role Overview

The Sales Counselor at Everstory Partners is a relationship-focused sales professional who helps individuals and families make important funeral and cemetery decisions with confidence and care. This role combines consultative sales, B2C sales, business development, lead generation, prospecting, and community outreach to build strong customer relationships and develop new business.

What You Will Do

Meet with individuals and families to understand their needs and recommend appropriate funeral and cemetery products and services. Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in sales, including outside sales, B2C sales, sales consulting, customer service, business development, account management, or other relationship-based roles preferred.
  • Experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar sales and lead-management platforms preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment, including prospecting, lead generation, and developing new business.
  • Strong sales communication, relationship-building, negotiation, consultative selling, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple sales leads, customer appointments, prospects, and follow-up activities.
  • Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, and other common business applications.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive customer and family information.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for local customer appointments, community outreach, and networking events.
  • Must obtain and maintain all applicable state-required licenses or registrations within 60 days of employment, or within the timeframe required by applicable state law.
