Requirements

  • Must be able to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting
  • Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally
  • Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, and grease
  • Work at heights with no fear
  • May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color
  • Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller
