Job Description
CAS is seeking a Content Acquisitions Scientist to organize, create, and maintain bibliographic records for scientific content, leveraging authority sources to ensure accuracy and completeness, and collaborating with other content acquisition operations.

Requirements

  • Degree in library science, or information architecture
  • Experience with Ex Libris Alma Library Management System and MARC code
  • Experience with CAS' cataloging practices
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and time-critical environment
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
  • Aptitude and interest for learning and using various web-based and/or proprietary computer applications
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
