Job Description
Austin Industrial is a merit shop, employee-owned company seeking a Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures.

Requirements

  • Work at heights with no fear
  • Determine type of scaffold needed
  • Inspect job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards
  • Effectively communicate safety hazards and mitigate avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding
  • Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold to the dimensions required
  • Hoist scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure
  • Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material
  • Properly secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability
  • Adhere to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding
  • Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding
  • Dismantle scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so
  • Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling
