Role OverviewThe Scheduling Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for inbound patient calls to schedule office and/or surgical appointments. The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for authorizations, insurance verification, and appointment setting.
What You Will Do
Screen patient calls efficiently, verify patient information, schedule appointments, and follow up on action items within the same business day.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years progressive work experience in a medical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance
- Knowledge of Athena EMR system (plus)
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficient and accurate data entry
- Spanish speaking/Bilingual (plus)
