Role OverviewThe YMCA of Greater Erie is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Teacher for our childcare program. The role involves assisting the child care program director, providing supervision and discipline, and implementing lesson plans based on child development principles.
What You Will Do
The Assistant Teacher will assist with enrollment, facilitate onboarding, and communicate with parents. They will also help implement lesson plans, keep the classroom clean, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in Secondary Education or 2500 hours of documented experience
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a physical
- Negative TB test
- Must enroll in a CDA (child development associate) training program within the first year of employment if not already attending or having completed secondary education
