Role OverviewWe are hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our After School Program at Ekron Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will love working with kids, be energetic, kind, and patient, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This position is well-suited for parents, education majors, or future teachers looking for hands-on experience with children and classroom management.
What You Will Do
Facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children. Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies. Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
