Role OverviewThis part-time position is responsible for facilitating hands-on activities with children, providing a safe and healthy environment, and acting as a positive role model. The School Age Childcare Assistant will work with children aged 5-12, following the Healthy Kids Curriculum. The position is well-suited for parents, education majors, and retirees who enjoy working with children and want to give back to the community.
What You Will Do
Facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children. Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies. Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
