Role OverviewThis position is a part-time, non-exempt role that assists in the Before and After School Program at Franklin Elementary School in North Franklin, CT. The School Age Childcare Assistant will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and support program operations. The role is well-suited for parents, education majors, or retirees who enjoy working with children and building relationships.
What You Will Do
The School Age Childcare Assistant will facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, provide a safe and healthy environment, and support program operations. They will also observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
