Role OverviewWe are hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Preston Veteran's Memorial School for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will love working with kids, bringing energy, kindness, and patience to each day, and enjoys encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
What You Will Do
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment, and act as a positive role model for children in the program.

Requirements
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
