Role OverviewWe are hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Cape May City Elementary School. The ideal candidate loves working with kids, is reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care. This position is well-suited for parents, education majors, or retirees who enjoy staying active, mentoring children, and giving back to the community.
What You Will Do
Facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children. You will also observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies. Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required
- Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks
- Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
