Role Overview

We are hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Franklin Elementary School. The ideal candidate will love working with kids, be energetic, kind, and patient, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position is part-time, non-exempt, and follows the school calendar.

What You Will Do

As a School-Age Childcare Assistant, you will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children in the program. You will also support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
