Role OverviewWe are hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Lopatcong Elementary School. The ideal candidate will love working with kids, be energetic, kind, and patient, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar and offers opportunities for morning, afternoon, or both programs.
What You Will Do
The School-Age Childcare Assistant will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children in the program. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, observing state guidelines and policies, supporting program operations, and maintaining attendance records.

Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
