Role OverviewWe are hiring a School Age Childcare Assistant Site Director for our Before and After School Programs at our Frelinghuysen Elementary School in Newton, NJ location for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will love working with kids, be energetic, kind, and patient, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position is part-time, non-exempt, and follows the school calendar.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program. They will work well with teammates, communicate effectively with families, and be reliable, organized, and committed to their job.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
- 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
- Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
- Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
- Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
- Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances
